Tongela L. Wingard-Greene
Choir President | Board of Directors
Tongela L. Wingard-Greene is a proud mother of four Clara (27), Bryce (22), Verton (14), and VerTongela (13). She was born and raised in Brunswick, Ga. She is a retired Chief Petty Officer who has served faithfully for over 22 years in the United States Navy.
She a member Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church located in North Chicago, IL under the leadership of Pastor Gerald Wilcoxon. She serves as a faithful member of the ministerial staff and Mass Choir.
She is member of the award winning Darius Brooks and The Tommies Reunion Choir, Glenn Johnson and the Voices of Innerpeace, and Rose & Company under the leadership of Darrin Rose.
Tongela made her debut in acting in Gospel Effects Production "Tell the Devil Nevah Mind" March 2018. She has had to the opportunity to continue with Gospel Effects production in "Audience of One" 2020 and "Tomorrow Still Ain't Promise".
Tongela is known as a woman of humility who flows under the anointing of God and truly desires to see His people healed, delivered and set free. She knows that the only way is by lifting up the name of Jesus and giving him all the glory.

CasSandra A. Brooks EdD
Choir Vice President | Board of Directors
The product of a family that stressed the importance of education,
CasSandra A. Brooks has achieved a diploma from North Chicago
Community High School, Bachelor of Science in Education from
National College of Education, Evanston, Illinois, Master of Education
from National College of Education, Evanston, Illinois, Master of
Education Administration from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb,
Illinois, and Doctorate of Education from Faith Grant College,
Birmingham, Alabama. With multiple degrees in education, CasSandra aptly chose a vocation close to her heart. She prepared herself to spend her life educating children. Proudly waving the banners:
ALL CHILDREN CAN LEARN and NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND, for over 40 years, Graciously accepting the path that God has for her life, the spread of the kingdom has remained a priority
in the life of CasSandra Brooks. She is a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Waukegan, Illinois. There she serves as a director of the Adult and Mass Choir. She has served as director of Mt.
Sinai Mass Choir, Voices of Inspiration Youth Choir, Men’s Chorus, and Women’s Day Choir. She is a charter member of recording choir, Glenn Johnson and Voices of Innerpeace. In 2007, she was named the
Most Influential African American in Lake County – Educator of the Year, an award sponsored by The People’s Voice.

Darrin Rose
Founder | Music Director
Darrin Rose is a McNair Scholar with a philosophy of culturally responsive teaching and passion for program building. Rose serves as the Director of Music at Shiloh Baptist Church of Waukegan, Pipe Organist at St Andrew Lutheran Church Mundelein, and Associate Director/Accompanist of the Waukegan Concert Chorus . He is also an active K-12 music educator and collaborative artist in the Chicagoland Area. His professional affiliations include National Association of Negro Musicians, American Choral Directors Association, American Guild of Organists and the National Association for Teachers of Singing. Rose's research areas include African-American music and access in music education. Rose studied Choral Music Education at Chicago State University and Northeastern Illinois University. He enjoys a diverse repertoire as a musician, arranger, conductor, and vocalist in genres ranging from Western Art Song to Contemporary Gospel.

Iris Packard
Board of Directors
Iris Packard-Daniels resides in Zion, Illinois with her husband Fred. She received her BA in Sociology and MA in Human Resource Development. Iris has retired from Abbvie Pharmaceuticals and now spends her time volunteering with her church, First CorinthianMissionary Baptist Church, traveling and Broadway plays. Iris loves decorating and has her
certification in Floral Design, but her first love is and has always been singing. She began singing
at the tender age of 4 and has never stopped. Not only does she sing with her church choir, Voices of Corinthian (VOC), she has also sung with the CLC Gospel Choir under Mark Cosey and
Matthew Hunter, Voices of Inner Peace with Glen Johnson and now with Lake County Mass Choir under the leadership of Darrin Rose. It is a blessing to be able to lift my voice and sing
praises to the Lord and to share this wonderful experience with all who love the gift of music. I
am so thankful to be a part of this amazing ministry.

Dennis Denson
Chaplain | Board of Directors
Dennis Denson was born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois, husband and father. He is a Believer and a born-again Christian for over 40 years, who always had an ear for music, melody, and sound.
Dennis grew in love with jingles and nursery rhymes early in his youth and school plays and singing soon followed. His participation in children's choirs, youth ensembles, adult and senior choir groups, as well as community organizations and praise teams allowed him to share his vocal talents. He believes that together we can make an angelic harmony to God be the Glory.
Romans 15:5-7 Says “ Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded towards one another, according to Christ Jesus,6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify
the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ.7 Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
