About Us
The Lake County Mass Choir was founded in August 2025 after a community led summer sacred music workshop (Lift Every Voice) done in collaboration with the North Shore Baptist Minister's Alliance. Participants enjoyed a concert of diverse repertoire ranging from anthems to contemporary gospel leading musicians and directors alike to organize a community choir recognizing a need for a space of community and learning. Lake County Mass is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Our Mission
Our mission at the Lake County Mass Choir (LCM) is to preserve and promote diversity in black gospel and sacred music. In addition to this we recognize that music is one of our catalysts to serve the community and world at large. We aim to provide scholarships to youth pursuing education in performing arts/performing arts adjacent fields, support to arts funding within local school districts, and accessible arts programming with the local community.
